In recent months, I have been working on creating web apps. My focus has been on simple-to-use, single-purpose tools to assist content creators with little tasks in their workflow or creative processes. I'm also intentionally making them free to use and am not implementing any ads; I want to keep these useful apps uncluttered and clean. So far, I have built over a dozen apps.
Today, I want to share about four of them that are specifically designed for podcasters, though they can be used by other online content creators as well. These have all come from personal experience as a podcaster myself for the past 19 years. The early feedback from other creatives during my soft launch stage has been encouraging, so I hope you can find some use for these as well.
Simple stopwatch web app designed for podcast co-hosts to be able to keep track of episode duration during recording sessions with built-in, editable, exportable segment marker capabilities, and a dark mode.
An easy-to-use tool for sending to your podcast guests, even the non-techie ones, to check that their mic/cam is all working in preparation for joining your recording session. Regardless of whether you're using Zoom, Google Meet, Riverside, or any other platform to conduct the interview, this tool walks the participants through the process of checking to make sure their tech is all good to go so you can just get right to the conversation.
This tool streamlines interview prep for podcasters and other content creators by consolidating show details, guest bios, and questions into a single organized workspace. It's designed to be used to track the flow of the conversation during the interview to help you cover all the bases, but adapt on the fly as needed. Having all your prep and live notes in one place keeps interviews running smoothly while making show note creation effortless after recording.
Can't remember if you already covered a specific topic in the back catalogue of your podcast? Or just can't remember which episode it was? Feed Scout does the work for you. It searches episode titles, descriptions, full show notes that are linked in your description, and transcripts in your RSS feed.
