Bad Blood: Freedom and Death in the White Mountains, Casey Sherman - Book Review

Bad Blood is the true story of the deadly clash between an officer of the law and a citizen of rural New Hampshire. Casey Sherman does a fantastic job of narrating this intriguing tale of true crime. Drawing his information from numerous sources, he compellingly lays out this story. He made certain to give a factual and relatively unbiased account of this tragedy, but at the same time offers the reader the benefit of the perspectives and opinions of many people who were involved in, related to or affected by this case. Although there are many instances where the author leaves the main storyline to narrate loosely related stories, I still found that I couldn't put this book down and even after I had finished it, some of the thoughts that it provoked continue to be on my mind. This is a very riveting book.  )
