Hey all,
Well the new year is now upon us. Kristin and I stayed home on New Year's Eve because I was fighting a bad cold and I just didn't feel like going anywhere. It was a little different to be by ourselves, but it was also kind of nice to just be together. We did grab some dinner at our favorite little pizza joint down the street from our house before heading home, but the rest of the evening was spent at home. The next day we got together with family to grill some steaks and play games. And on Friday we took the light rail downtown and had lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory (awesome Italian food). They have an old streetcar inside the restaurant and we asked to be seated at a table in there. It is really a neat place to visit.
Anyway, enough with the uninteresting narrative. As I said before, it is a new year and although I am not big on New Year's resolutions, I think it is probably time for some changes in my life. I believe it is time to "tighten things up" spiritually speaking; time to stop spending so much time on the things that don't matter in the long run. I, personally, need to focus more on the things that will have eternal significance, such as reaching out to those in need and doing more to win the lost. How about you? Let's take this year to be all we can be for Christ and make an eternal difference in the lives of those that we come into contact with.
